Debbie Heitleband Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded in fond remembrance of Ms. Debbie Heitleband, a former President of the Finance & Technology Unit, and an AME member for 28 years.
Applicants for this essay scholarship will be required to submit an essay on the topic of “LABOR HEROES THROUGH HISTORY"
From Mother Jones, to Samuel Gompers, Bayard Rustin, and so many more, there is no shortage of inspiring figures in the Labor movement. In your essay, name your Labor Hero, share their background and the impact they have had on the Labor movement and worker’s rights, as well as why this Labor Hero is significant to you.
