Dorie Rossiter Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship was established by our Union in 2009 to honor the memory of one of our beloved charter members, Suffolk County Crossing Guard Dorie Rossiter. Applicants for this essay scholarship will be required to submit an essay defining “Labor in Current Events”. With rising member numbers, national news coverage, and healthy public discourse, the Labor Movement is currently on the rise in our modern times. Please share a current topic of discussion in the Labor Movement such as an organizing drive, a strike, or a legal battle.
