Dorie Rossiter Memorial Scholarship: This scholarship was established by our Union in 2009 to honor the memory of one of our beloved charter members, Suffolk County Crossing Guard Dorie Rossiter.
Applicants for this essay scholarship will be required to submit an essay with the topic of: "UNITED IN SOLIDARITY!"
Throughout American history, the Labor movement has intersected with a number of other advocacy movements such as the Civil Rights Movement, Women’s Suffrage, and more. Choose an area in which the Labor movement has crossed paths with and stood in solidarity with another advocacy movement in order to advance both agendas. Does this still occur today?
