The 2025 Marge Kearney Scholarship for the children & grandchildren of Suffolk AME members is open August 1 to August 29, 2025!

‣ Reach out via email to info@scame.org and include the member’s name, name of Unit, student name/names, and relation to the student

‣ Applications must be returned to AME Headquarters no later than Friday, August 29, 2025

‣ Please note, all applicants must be enrolled in full-time programs at accredited institutions of higher learning during the Fall 2025 semester. Additionally, all awards for the Marge Kearney Scholarship will be determined by lottery. 

‍About the Marge Kearney Scholarship: Each year the Marge Kearney Scholarship is awarded to the children or grandchildren of Suffolk AME members in celebration of her life and recognition of her contributions to our union. Marge Kearney was very active in the promotion of Suffolk AME, always working to better the lives of all of her AME brothers and sisters. Carrying the torch into the next generation, her daughter, Maureen Sterka, is a member of the Suffolk AME Retiree Unit. Review the flyer here
